Structure

The intelligent precession vortex gas flowmeter consists of the following seven basic components

(Figure 1) 1. Vortex generator 2. Shell 3. Intelligent flow meter integrator 4. Temperature sensor 5. Pressure sensor 6. Piezoelectric crystal sensor 7. Racemizer

Main features

1. Built in pressure, temperature, and flow sensors with high safety performance, compact structure, and beautiful appearance.

2. Display temperature, pressure, instantaneous flow rate, and cumulative flow rate on site.

By adopting a new type of signal processing amplifier and unique filtering technology, the interference signals generated by pressure fluctuations and pipeline vibration are effectively eliminated, greatly improving the anti-interference ability of the flow meter and making small flow rates have excellent stability.

4. The unique time display and real-time data storage function ensures that internal data will not be lost and can be permanently saved regardless of the situation.

5. The entire machine has extremely low power consumption and can operate with long-term power supply from internal batteries, making it an ideal on-site display instrument without the need for external power supply.

6. The anti-theft function is reliable, with password protection to prevent parameter changes.

7. The meter head can rotate 180 degrees freely, making installation convenient.

8. The converter can output frequency pulses, 4-20mA analog signals, and has an RS485 interface, which can be directly connected to a microcomputer, with a transmission distance of up to 1200 meters.

Working principle

The flow profile of the flow sensor of the intelligent precession vortex gas flowmeter is similar to the profile of a Venturi tube (Figure 2). Place a set of spiral guide vanes on the inlet side, and when the fluid enters the flow sensor, the guide vanes force the fluid to generate intense vortex flow. When the fluid enters the diffusion section, the vortex flow undergoes secondary rotation under the effect of reflux, forming a gyroscopic vortex precession phenomenon. The precession frequency is directly proportional to the flow rate and is not affected by the physical properties and density of the fluid. The detection element can measure the secondary rotation precession frequency of the fluid to achieve good linearity over a wide flow range. The signal is amplified, filtered, and transformed into a pulse signal proportional to the flow rate through a preamplifier, and then sent to the microprocessor for integration processing along with temperature, pressure, and other detection signals. Finally, the measurement results (instantaneous flow rate, cumulative flow rate, temperature, pressure, and other data) are displayed on the LCD screen.
